Yawdies, take a break and Enjoy World Cup 2010

Many of us are brought together by Sports.  In fact, warring factions often “unite” when they support the same team.
The most popular sport (Football or “soccer”) takes stage with the biggest sporting event in the world, FIFA World Cup 2010, opening on June 11 with 2 Group A matches,

  1. host nation South Africa taking on Mexico at 10:00 AM
  2. Uruguay taking on France at 02:30 PM

You can follow live on http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/worldcup/fixtures

If you have Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice, you may also download the World Cup 2010 Planner
It’s pretty self-explanatory.  Microsoft Excel is not free but OpenOffice is FREE and can be found at http://openoffice.org .

Thank you.  With T’Naan in the background, see the stadiums, groups, and flags of the countries representing the 32.

Have fun but don’t spend too much time watching the World Cup while at work, especially those who work in the USA… Most companies in the US frown on that. As you know, Football (soccer) is not the most popular sport in the USA. I do support the US and expect them to advance to at least the 2nd round.

Look out for the group of death (el grupo de muerte), group G with Brazil, Ivory Coast, Portugal, and North Korea.

BTW, we will run weekly World Cup 2010 polls (to the right) so make sure you vote.

I know our teams did not make the Final Stage (32 teams) but I hope the team you are rooting for right now does well.
