Judge declares mistrial; Buju’s attorney files for bail

Now that the Judge in the case against Buju Banton has declared a mistrial, Buju’s attorney has filed for bail for his client.

The mistrial was declared after the jury deliberated, and deliberated, and deliberated and still were hung ( 6 guilty, 6 not guilty ), disapppointing many those hoping to see a conviction and many hoping to see an acquittal.

Only time will tell whether he will be granted bail.  In fact, speculation abound whether the prosecutor in the case will decide to retry him.
