What does Mubarak’s resignation mean to you?

So the Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak, has resigned after 18 days of pressure and protests.

The reports and translations coming from all media outlets were those of jubilation.  These cries  of  “Egypt is free” were accompanied by fireworks.  There were tears, prayers, and dancing.

Egypt is free?

Freedom comes with a price.  Is Egypt really free? What does this “freedom” mean to Egypt, Sudan, and other countries in the region?

What does it mean to you?

American poli-tricksters have expressed their concern about:

(1) Stability in the region.

(2) Defending their interest (Israel, oil prices, etc.)

(3) Preventing Egypt, an “ally”, from becoming a fundamentalist Islamic state.

What does it really mean to you?
