The Reggae Boyz (Jamaica’s soccer team) lost 0-2 to the United States in the US state capital (Washington D.C.) in a Gold Cup 2011 quarter-final match dominated by the US, and where Jamaica went down one man in the second half. In the second match of the day, Panama defeats El Salvador 5-3 in penalty kicks after being knotted 1-1, maintaining their dominance over El Salvador.
In this week’s semi-finals, the US will face Panama, while a weakened Mexican team (post banned substance suspensions) faces a confident Honduras.
