Today is election day in Jamaica. Prime Minister Andrew Holness called shortly after being elected by the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) as their leader and the successor to the departed Bruce Golding, who resigned amidst lots of pressure and different scandals taking place within the party and the government.
A JLP win implies Holness remains the prime minister, while Portia Simpson-Miller returns as Prime Minister if the People’s National Party (PNP) wins.
