Bajans (Barbadians) Tino Best (6-45 in second innings) and Fidel Edwards (6-90 in first innings) troubled the improved Bangladesh batsmen throughout the entire 2nd test. The West Indian batsmen were no slouch either, with a double century (260) from Marlon Samuels, a century (127) from Darren Bravo, and an unbeaten 150 from the reliable Shivnarine “Shiv” Chanderpaul to take them to 648-9 declared in the first innings alone.
In the end, the massive number of runs and the steady bowling was too much for Bangladesh, as they fell before lunch on day 5, thus losing the series 2-0 to the West Indies.
Scores:
Bangladesh – 387 and 287
West Indies – 648-9 declared & 30 without loss
West Indies wins by 10 wickets and won the 2-Test series 2-0.
